FAQs
What is permanent makeup for eyebrows?
It’s a semi-permanent cosmetic procedure where pigment is tattooed into the skin to define and shape your brows. It’s like having natural, fuss-free brows 24/7!
Does it hurt?
Most people say it feels like a slight scratching or tingling. We use numbing cream to make the process as comfortable as possible.
How long does it last?
Generally, permanent makeup brows can last anywhere from 1 to 3 years, depending on your skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare. You’ll need touch-ups to keep them looking fresh!
Will my brows look too dark or fake?
Not at all! We use natural shades that match your hair and skin tone, and we apply the pigment gradually. The final look is soft, subtle, and tailored to your face.
Can I shape my brows after the procedure?
It’s best to leave the shaping to us during the appointment. After your brows heal (about 7-10 days), you can trim or tweeze around the shape, but try not to pluck too much!
How long does the procedure take?
The initial session usually takes around 2–3 hours, including consultation and mapping out your brow shape. It’s not a rushed process, as we want to make sure everything is perfect!
How long is the healing time?
Healing typically takes about 7–10 days. Your brows will go through a few phases: darkening, peeling, and lightening before they settle into their final color.
Can I get my brows wet after the procedure?
It’s best to avoid getting them wet for the first 24 hrs to prevent infection and ensure the pigment sets properly. After that, you’re good to go!
What happens if I don’t like my brows?
We’re here to make sure you love the results! If anything needs adjusting, the touch-up session allows us to perfect your brows. And don’t worry—if you really don’t like them, the pigment fades over time.
Can I wear makeup on my brows after the procedure?
For the first week, it’s best to avoid makeup on your brows while they heal. After that, you can go back to your usual routine, just be gentle around the area.
Are there any risks or side effects?
While rare, some people may experience mild swelling, redness, or sensitivity during healing. Following aftercare instructions is key to minimizing any risk of infection or issues!
Can I still get my brows done if I have sensitive skin?
Yes! If you have sensitive skin, we’ll tailor the process to minimize discomfort and ensure the best results. Let me know about any concerns, and I’ll guide you through it.
Can I get permanent makeup if I’m pregnant?
It’s generally not recommended during pregnancy due to potential skin changes and sensitivity, as well as the risk of infection. It’s always best to consult with your doctor first!
Do I need to do anything before my appointment?
Not much! Just come with a clean face (no makeup) and try to avoid tweezing or waxing your brows for a couple of days before. If you have any questions or special requests, just let me know!
These answers should give you a good idea of what to expect! Feel free to ask me anything else!
